Heyyy graphic designers with 3+ years of professional experience creating visual communications to convey messages in a meaningful, emotionally-compelling way across all kinds of mediums: We’re growing our women-owned agency and are looking for designers who care about our mission.
Beyond client-driven work, BlackPaint also has many agency-driven initiatives that support our mission (art installations, events, general trouble making and advocacy, merchandise/store). This role will work on both client and agency-driven projects to design everything from billboards and buttons to newsletters and social media content … all that are meant to make noise, touch hearts and inspire action.
This is a full-time position mostly working from our Milwaukee studio with some flex remote hours. Salary based on experience.
APPLY IF YOU…
• Have a BFA in Graphic Design (or comparable degree/experience)
• Are an expert in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Have 3+ years of professional experience as a full-time designer working in a team environment where you’ve collaborated with strategists and/or copywriters
• Have very strong typography and layout skills
• Have experience designing identities and identity systems for brands or campaigns
• Are comfortable taking direction and feedback
• Work quickly and accurately
• Have experience and/or willingness to work on an all-hands-on-deck small creative team and wear many hats
• Have strong organizational skills and can manage your own projects and timelines from start-to-finish without losing track of the details
• Have above average written and verbal communication skills
• Are self-motivated and an independent thinker
• Are a thoughtful, flexible, positive teammate
• Have experience working with printers and print production processes
• Are responsible af and have references to back that up
• Have a genuine passion for advocacy work and our mission
